If you’re feeling great all the time, like things are just perfect day in and day out, then you’re doing it wrong!
As an executive coach, I want you to fail.
I want you to feel crap.
I want you to come up against challenges.
And I want you to want that for you too.
Because that’s where the insights are.
We only create solutions when there are problems.
We only innovate for ourselves, for our business, and for our clients, when there’s a challenge to overcome.
Going after large strategic goals and up-levelling your career and life is not supposed to be easy all the time.
It’s supposed to feel both good and bad. Easy and hard.
But what I want for you is to be ok with both.
Be ok with the good times and the growth times.
And in fact, I want you to intentionally seek out the opportunities to fail, feel uncomfortable and experience tough situations.
And then use the lessons from those experiences to figure out what works and what doesn’t.
So whenever you “fail” or make a mistake, or face a tough challenge or feel uneasy emotions during your week – remind yourself that you’re doing it right!
- Ask yourself if you’re taking enough risks with your current goal? What could you do to increase the failure and put yourself in a tough situation to learn and grow faster?
